About the Owner
At the age of eighteen, Owen Burchat, a former Junior A hockey player, faced a life-altering moment after he sustained a severe head injury. Confronted with the challenging decision of whether to bid farewell to his athletic dreams or persist despite the potential risks, Owen chose to embark on a path of recovery from post-concussion syndrome. Throughout this arduous journey, he found himself pondering alternative careers, one of which ignited a passion to serve and make a positive impact on his community as a firefighter. Regrettably, this noble aspiration had to be put on hold as his body continued to mend.
Hailing from a family with an entrepreneurial background, Owen's innate business acumen and aspirations began to surface. In his pursuit of a meaningful venture, he envisioned a brand that would offer stylish, high-quality essentials while prioritizing reusability and sustainability. This vision became a reality with the birth of BURCH MERCH – a brand dedicated to crafting eco-conscious products that not only meet daily needs but also reflect a commitment to a greener, more responsible future.
